When the 386 class first came out I bought a 386sx25 but the screen was jerky when I played Wing Commander, so I upgraded it to (wait for it!) A 33Mhz 386 with 4Mb Ram and a 20 Meg Drive. Now *that* was a hot machine and I was so proud I opened the lid at every opportunity to show off that 386.

I subsequently burnt a hole in the case by using a desk lamp as a torch (don't ask) but that motherboard is in a frame on my office wall.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
