A park near my home has a cricket pitch. As far as I can tell this is 1 of only 2 in the city. I've sat and watched the game for several minutes on few ocassions. It seems kind of like baseball.

English sports just haven't caught on here as pro sports. Cricket is extremely rare in any form. Soccer is very popular as an amateur sport. Rugby is popular only at the junior varsity and club level. I've known people over the years that play rugby, but I've never seen it played on a local field.
