Dave,

I am using INDEX ON (ie creating an idx (not cdx tag) on the local hard drive that I can delete once the user has finished with the index).

If I start 2 instances of my application I can create the index quite happily. However, the problem is only occuring where a user has 2 instances of the customer form active within one instance of the application. (I am getting round this by using an error handler to detect error 1579 and telling the user to close all other open customer forms but it does seem a bit of a heavy handed approach).

Barry.
