Hi Paul,

I think you can use Specified Order Groups. Your first group would be defined as a specfied order group such as the TopXGroup, the second group would be defined as a specified order group such as the OtherGroup.

I did something similar on a chart and set up about 10 different specified order groups and the chart showed all 10 groups as separate bars on a chart or I could have used pie pieces instead.

I still think you might need to use sort, but maybe not. No matter, specified order groupa is the way to go and don't use Top N for this chart in this case.

Here's how -
1. With Insert or Change Group Options dialog box open, select Sepcified Order from teh group order list. This adds a Specified Order tab and opens it.

2. Select the groups that you want on your report from teh Named Group list. Use the up and down arrows to change the order of the groups.

3. Select the option that meets yours needs from the Others tab.

4. Click OK to close the dialog box.

5. Preview the report or chart it at this point.

Been there, done that. I recently did this on several charts and was stuck with the same problems you encountered until a co-worker showed me this trick. Good luck. HTHTHTHTHTHTH!!!
