Hi all,

I'm going deeper into the COM+ world and have a question I couldn't find an answer in the MSDN library and other documentations. BTW: I've read Craig's very good FoxTalk articles about COM+ which can be found in the MSDN lib.. Thanks for that good work, Craig!

Now the question: could someone please explain to me, what the first two options in the impersonation level combobox mean?

I understand the difference between impersonation, delegetion and not doing these two things. But what does "anonymous" and "identify" exactly mean (hope this is a good translation - I only have German Windows versions here)?

IMO they both don't do impersonation. Does anonymous mean, there will be no trusted security for calls to other objects - and does "identify" mean that calls to other objects are being done with the security credentials of the user I've entered in the objects's property sheet?

TIA,
Armin
