You are really opening up a can of worms with this post! Given the responses in the past from most of the MVPs that visit this forum, I would be AMAZED if any of them agreed with you on this. However, I do.

IF the next version incorporated a set of new features and was renamed, it would draw a lot of attention at least and many would take a look at it that either never actually researched VFP's capabilities or never heard of it to begin with. More attention can only draw new users and increase market share because it REALLY is such a great development tool that is not seriously considered in many large corps with dev shops anylonger. Those of us who have used it for so long would stay with it regardless of the name because IT DOES THE JOB.
