We have a series of SNMP Agents and would like to ensure we can request data from a specific Agent. When using static IP's this does not present a problem. However, with the use of DHCP we can never be sure of the specific IP Address of a particular SNMP Agent. We could broadcast to all Agents and retrieve their IP Addressess as each responds. This may be the only approach but thought the solution would be much simpler if we could get a specifc IP from a previously stored MAC address..
