>Okay We have made progress. I now am running the same service packs on the Production Server and Design Notebook. I no longer get database in use or access denied. I do, however, get the following error when running the job. the package still executes without fail when executed manually.

I used to get this when the MDAC version of the machine that created the DTS was different to that where the package runs from. I would try: 1) Open the DTS package and force a save on the machine where it will run and 2) Using the comcheck utility from MS, verify that the two versions of MDAC are the same if not make sure they are.

In theory, having installed the same SP in both computers should result in the same MDAC version, but sometimes when you already have a newer version then no updates are done and the newer version is kept. This is a problem for DTS packages.
