You might check out http://www.timeanddate.com/time/abbreviations.html Or your PC Date/Time Properties - Time Zone. :) UTC = GMT. You are correct, if you are referring to EDT - Eastern Daylight Saving Time, as UTC-4 hours

BTW, the gentleman who invented timezones - Sir Sandford Fleming - lived in Halifax.
