Title:
Keeping Your Computers in Synch
What do people use to keep their PC's in synch?
Just bought a new WinXP laptop. I need to keep it synched up with my Win98 desktop (i.e. project files). I was using Laplink's very capable Clone Folder function with my old Laptop, but my version of Laplink is not XP compatible.
I tried playing around with the XP Synchronizer. Very cool concept, but seems to fall a little short. Maybe I don't fully get it. It does not seem to delete files if they were deleted offline. It also doesn't like to let you synch .dbf files (thought after an hour on the MS website, I found that workaround).
Before I invest in the new version of Laplink, I'd appreciate hearing what other people do to keep their desktop files synched up with those on the laptop.
Thanks,
David
