Do you use memo fields? How large are they? Have you packed memo at all lately? What about archiving records somehow? Does the system run slow no matter how many users on it? Any difference in speed from different POS workstations? Has the hardware been changed at all? Or a different hub or an old hub in place (time to get a switch?) Is it on an NT system or Novell? If Novell, have the deleted files been purged recently? Are the nics set to half-duplex, full-duplex, or auto? Just some things to consider... I'm in agreement with the others though on if you have multiple indices, can use RO, then a CDX will speed it up some.
