I am trying to post our help file on our website. i have set up a directory and configured IIS to work with it.
i've tried placing just the chm in the directory and the browser just asks me where i want to save it.
i've tried using the 'set help to' cmd in fox but that can't seem to resolve the URL--i get a 'can't locate file' error.
i've also tried 'set help collection' which appears to work, it just doesn't actually work when you press F1 or type 'help'--i can see that the URL is defined as the location of the help files in the options tab(for fox [7.0] as a whole) but when i press F1 i get 'context ID not set for dialog box' (the focus is on the command window) and when i type 'help' the document viewer comes up but it loads the general fox help into it.
i tried copying the whole source for the help system into the web directory with the chm file and navigating to the chm file in a browser but it still just asks me where i want to save the chm.
i was able to navigate to the index.htm for the help system and browse that in the browser but some important functionality is lost when i use the help that way. namely the search functionality.
basically what i'm trying to do is have my users using the help file directly off my server. i don't want them to have to download a rather large file as often as the help as been changing lately. am i taking the correct tack here?
