I don't think you quite understand the idea of terminal Server... it does nothing but transfer the image of the terminal session to the user (client). All processing is done on the terminal server. If you have ever used pcAnywhere or an emulation program for a mainframe, the idea is similar (the same). You do not transfer anything between the client and the terminal server.

There is really no need to use Citrix unless you need some features that it provides. Windows Terminal Server will do most everything.
