Hi,

basically you have to parse the HL7 files or the data that comes over TCP/IP or UDP and store the data you need. An alternative to this would be to use a communication server (often provided by the manufacturer of the hospital information system), that can give you plain ASCII files instead of HL7 data. I don't know of any ready to use VFP classes for parsing HL7.
