Well said, I too am a Promatrix user (Since 1996) and develop both inhouse (Fortune 500 company) and other outside systems using ProMatrix. All of my applications use views and interface to SAP for both reading & writing. Yes, there is learning curve, but then there is with every framework. It depends on the amount of time you the user want to invest. There is NO plug-in that I know of, if someone finds one let me know ...
VPM is taking an undue hit, because of mispoken words. While the content was shared here, it probrably should have been handled differently on both sides of the fence.
I looked at Codebook, Maxframe and found that neither of them met my needs, or those of my company. I have found the VPM community to be some of the most helpful around, with help, solutions and implementation at all levels, from basic to expert solutions.
I for one applaud, Joe, & Steve for what they have given to the VFP community, for me & my company, VPM is the choice, for large scale applications that can deliver in a timely manner. Promatrix is for professional developers and hobbists the like again it depends on what the needs are.
