I found the 'learning curve' for VPM to be very shallow. After 15 years I had retired my business so I could work locally and come home at nights and weekends. But, if I ever restart my consulting business VPM will be my tool of choice on the WinXX platform. (On the Linux platform it is KDE+KDevelop+QT3+PostgreSQL)

I've been following BlackAdder. QT3 and their data-aware widgets are very, very nice. At the rate development is taking place in the Linux community I don't imagine it will take too long before QT3 PEM interface have all the sophistication and functionality of VFP PEM interface. Considering QT employs the signal-slot technology (which requries a meta compiler to preceed the gcc) there are features about QT that surpass VFP controls. But, on the WinXX platform, VFP is far and away the best GUI RAD dev tool on the planet, and VMP is the best framework, IMO.
