I have started the WROX book "Beginning ASP.NET using VB.NET".
It has instructions for downloading and installing ASP.NET Premium Edition (includes ASP.NET, VB.NET and the .NET Framework) and MDAC 2.7.

However, it makes no mention of what installing these things will do to any of my existing and running stuff that uses IIS 5 and WebConnect and wwIPStuff, etc.

Can I download and install the components WITHOUT impacting my existing and working stuff in any way? Also, will my VB6 of Visual Studio 6 remain intact and useable?

The system in question is a right up-to-date Win2K.

Thanks in advance
