Don't know what the problem with DBC2MDB could be cause I've never used it, however I have had instances where Access couldn't read a particular table because there were too many fields in it, there used to be a cap of 99 fields but I think this has been increased, however have you thought of using the ADO object to link to backend Fox data via ODBC ???

Just a thought, or do you need the data in Access.
