Ok - here's what I've done

Copy all my current tables and DBC to a new directort, delete COREMETA.*, SDTUSER.* SDTMETA.*, DBCXREG.* - total of 10 files.

Start VFP6, set default to that directory, do g:\sdt\sdt.app

Tool->SDT Explorer - choose the DBC assign a name, it does a build and the tables show up.

use DBXXREG and browse - 3 records
