Ivan,

>>Have you tried differente frameworks as well ? I have just finished the Jump Start App from MereMortals, it is the tutorial, and found it very interesting. In fact, I wish there were a CodeMortals or MereMine. There are some cool stuff in CM that I'd like to see in MM. Maybe I haven't found them yet, as I just started.<<

Well..... I don't want to start a firestorm here <g> - as it always seems the biggest disagreements breakout when discussing frameworks. It is all such a personal opinion and choice.

I tried MM just like you are - after working with CodeMine 7 first. I learned much from working through the MM manuals and tutorials (in the area of OOPs). Although I suspect they are both equally fine products, to me the learning curve was much deeper in MM than in CodeMine 7. And, this probably had more to do with me than MM.

The thing about CodeMine 7 to me (and I am not saying this as a reflection on MM) is that it all just fits together - and this probably has much to do with Dave at SoftClassics - as he appears to always be working on it and improving it. There have been many times I have sent him an email at 8pm and he answered it that night.

Good luck with it. Just remember whichever one you choose to be your main framework, you will probably be spending a ton of time with it, so make your choice wisely. Also, many people use more than one framework (as some frameworks are better suited to some projects more than others). I myself have two - although in this current project I mostly use CodeMine - and am a very happy CodeMine camper.

>>Now I'm going to stop working and go windsurfing. The wind is blowing outside and the girlfriend has that killing look at me.<<

Hmmm.... I don't think you will have time for a girlfriend working with either one of these frameworks at first <g> - (j/k = just kidding).
