Michel;

Seems like you changed your ISP about a year or more back and the speed of the UT increased. I have no problem with speed.

I do my complaining about the UT but I am specific when something does not work, and it gets resolved! Change is not usually appreciated by anyone however you can become accustomed to change and it no longer becomes an issue. So when changes do occur with the UT you will hear static from most people immediately after they are experienced. Perhaps some people are slower to react to change and just explode at a certain time.

Anyway thank you to you and your group for your quick response to problems. You will always hear me complain about “testing a live system on line”. That is a personal issue with me but it is my pet joke. I know if something breaks it will get fixed – if you are willing to wait a few minutes.

Perhaps Mike is having a bad day or week and just wants to spread the wealth.

>As for this one, I use a connection like that with my laptop and it works quite ok and reasonable. Of course, the more content that has to be downloaded, the more time it'll take. So, if you have 500 new messages in a dialup connection, the ratio of the download time would be more visible than from a fast connection.

I've faced many situations like these where most of them were spotted at first from an ISP routing problem or such. When it happens like that, there is usually an explanation. For me, as well, last night it was slow, and we later discovered that it was related to our cable company. So, from home, it was slow to UT. But, UT was responding as fast as usual.
