I have since discovered the conditions under which enterprise manager won't accept the data - upon entry into the field, the field is highlighted. If I overwrite the data ENTIRELY with my new edited value, it works fine. If I position my cursor in the middle, and insert new data, it complains.

Maybe this is by design, or just a limitation of the data entry interface in enterprise manager?
