>John, there are several third party communication libraries that your other sites could use in their copies of the app in order to hook up with yours and retrieve the data they might need; now, if the connection needs to be permanent, then I would think you'd have no choice but getting into expenses such as those that are necessary in order to set live connections(i.e T1, etc.)

>>The vfp app I designed was to be used by employees in my office on our Novell Lan, but now I have a problem. The good news is the app proved to be a success, but the bad new is, now other sites in my company want access to it. This is a file server based app and access over our 128kb wan to other sites is obviously not an option, or is it? What would be the best solution for this situation? We are slowly migrating to nt server, but several sites are still using netware including the site i am working out of. I played around with citrix winframe idea and was impressed with the dial in performance, and I assume that if winframe was on the wan speed wouldn't be a problem, but this idea is going to be fairly expensive to implement. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thx!!!

gil,
I'm assuming that the communication tools use dial in access via modem. Is this somthing like a PcAnywhere solution minus a dedicated terminal at the other end?
john.
