The only thing I found is the following article:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q240867The article discusses the fact that the ID's for the tables and indexes must match between databases for the DTS transfer to work. I will probably continue to look into this so I can get it done correctly.
If you find out more please advise....
