I have a simple 3 column report that prints product images, with a product code & description below. Only some products have images.
In the detail band I have an image box, and it only prints if there is an image, remove if blank.
Below the image box are a code and description fields.
The total detail band height is lets say 4 inches in total height.
The report works fine, and there is a 3 column list of product codes & descriptions, and sometimes an image.
Problem: At the bottom of each column of the report, there is always a lot of wasted space.
Cause: Somehow the VFP report always seems to look at the entire detail band height (in this case 4 inches) to decide if it will print another record or not. If there is less than 4 inches from the bottom, it leaves that space blank and starts a new column. (even though there may not be images for the next few records, so it could have printed another 6 or 7 lines of text fields before reaching the bottom)
Is there a solution to this problem? It does seem to be a common problem, but after searching the UT, I was not able to find any solution.
Is it possible to hack the .frx file and change some settings there?
Any help would be appreciated.
