Hi David,

The Report Writer uses the detail band height at design time to determine if it can fit on the current page. You can try to work around this problem by redesigning report to decrease the detail band hight. Create report group on RECNO() and move some fields from Detail Band to the new Group Header or/and Group Footer. I'm not sure if this would work for you but it worth a try.

>Cause: Somehow the VFP report always seems to look at the entire detail band height (in this case 4 inches) to decide if it will print another record or not. If there is less than 4 inches from the bottom, it leaves that space blank and starts a new column. (even though there may not be images for the next few records, so it could have printed another 6 or 7 lines of text fields before reaching the bottom)
