And that's the point. Technically, .NET may or may not be there (I think it isn't there yet, but may be down the road), but the hype is so way over the top as to be embarrassing. I should track down the link whereby someone related to or from MSFT recommended, as investment advice, to invest your dollars in any company that help promote and propogate the .NET language.

During a conversation, I described the .NET hype this way: If Christ came back down to earth this year, MSFT would spin it as the second biggest news story of the year.
