Hi Scott,
I proposed an algorithm that counts the number of (say) Tuesdays between 2 dates in message #
667778 over on the chatter forum (in response to a challenge from Ric Hayden). You could adapt that (or call it twice) to calculate the number of Saturdays and Sundays between 2 dates.
Note that the coding style I've used in that message is
very abbreviated. Ric's challenge was to use the smallest character count to solve the problem.
