Hi all,

We currently have a Pentium 2 450 mhz NT server that stores
our Foxpro database with about 25 Windows 98 workstations each with
a Foxpro .exe using VFP6.
The server is really old and has been crashing a lot recently so
we are going to replace it.
I have a few questions.

1.) What should our server requirements be in terms of processing speed
, memory, etc. This server also needs to function as a mail server as well.
2.) Would we benefit from having a dual processor ?
Will Foxpro run better/faster on a dual processor ?
3.) If we replace the server with Windows 2000, do we also
need to upgrade the workstations to Windows 2000 as well ?
4.) Can we run VFP6 on Windows 2000 ?
5.) Are there any potential problems upgrading from VFP 6 to VFP 7 ?
I want to avoid any potential down time that the transition may cause.

Thanks for any info in advance !

Carmel
