Specifically, FoxPro developers are singled out as needing to expand their horizons -- not .NET developers, not VB developers, not C++ developers, just FoxPro developers. It's a VFP mag, of course, but to me, that comes off as scolding. To be fair, this is just as much an editor problem as well.
I agree that it didn't conclude well and the statements at the end are pure opinion. I understand how it feels like scolding, too, since I do single out Visual FoxPro developers. I guess I'm just assuming that only VFP developers are reading the article so there's no sense talking to others.
