Ken, thanks for the reply.

I was hoping with the advent of VFP's performance, stability and new features forthcoming in VFP 8 that it might actually get some recognition by MS. Perhaps VFP could be recognized and recommended as slot a middle tier or small/mid-size tool of choice (instead of Access).

It is hard to get any recognition when you are sitting on the bench (e.g. Marcus Allen last few seasons in Oakland). It is hard to get excited about the "best is yet to come" slogan when viewed from this angle. Seems to me that MS is waiting for us to either move to .NET or to a competitor (Delphi/Kylix perhaps?).
