The best is yet to come refers to VFP 8.0, which is still coming and will be a great new version of VFP.

Having people move to VFP 7.0 who are using older versions of VFP/FoxPro is of great interest, and then upgrading to VFP 8.0 after it releases. Using VS .NET and SQL Server 2000 with VFP will be promoted, especially since some key new features in VFP 8.0 go directly towards compatibility and interoperability with .NET and SQL Server.
