Wrt VFP7: on release there was a UI bug to do with editbox scrollbars, this was missed during Beta but picked up shortly after. MS gritted its teeth and issued a rapid fix. This contrasts with certain other products where the bug is denied until the scheduled service pack is released. So I'm pretty sure MS listens to us re serious VFP bugs and even wears "pie in face" if it goofs. If anything I'm surer of that than I used to be- identification of the dreaded datasession-scoped DATE setting that used to ignore regional settings unless you forced it, was denied point blank as a "bug" during VFP3 beta. It was a "feature", though the "feature" was fixed in a later release. I don't think we'd see such a denial these days.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
