8 million people are at risk of starvation in Zimbabwe. The good fortune enjoyed by the so-called "first world" allows us to worry about stuff that would never occur to most of the world's population as it worries about its next meal. IMHO trying to solve this inequality is the first challenge for our countries, otherwise we are turning into selfish whiners who are never happy because we pick topics we know we cannot solve.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
