Has MS said anything about VFP9 (Nexedo < g >) being developed?

If Toledo is about to go to (relatively) wide beta it must be feature-complete. Any new features would have to go into VFP9 (or later :))

VFP7 was RTM'd in late June, 2001. MS confirmed that Toledo development was underway certainly by August, 2001 (Re: The Future Of ActiveX and Foxpro Thread #548881 Message #551236). Can anyone confirm public knowledge of Toledo development earlier than that?

I don't recall when VFP7 went to (relatively wide) beta. With this information maybe we can estimate when we should first hear confirmation of development of Nexedo.

I suspect whether Nexedo gets developed depends strongly on sales of VFP7. MS has been extremely tight-lipped on VFP7 sales, both in volume figures and whether MS perceives it to be selling "well" or "well enough". I'd think that if sales were fantastic, MS reps here would be ebullient/upbeat and a roadmap including Nexedo would be already public and a "done deal". I suspect VFP7 sales - and whether Nexedo gets done - is a "near thing" in MS at the moment.
