Hi,

Why you need to develop an application to transfare the data between 2 PCs, since you can use the "Direct Cable Connection" in Windows 98 whice allows you to use the parallel port to connect 2 pcs, isn't this what you need ?

And if you are using older Windows versions you can use a product called "LAP Link" which is a communication software plus 1 parallel cable and 1 serial cable for connecting 2 pcs.

Finaly, if you are coping the data to another pc to make a backup, I suggest you go to a Tape Backup solutions they are not expinsive you can go with a small capacity, this will be better and more profisional solution.

I think this will save you alot of time, rathar than developing that applicaton.
