>Thanks for the tip on the NT book. No, I haven't connected my test server to my Win95 machine yet, but I will start working on it again soon. I do have several months before my company migrates to NT at my site. BTW - the error message I receive on my 95 machine when I am refused connection is "Domain server not found. You can continue but...bla bla bla". I did install NT as a PDC and am trying to use TCP/IP as protocol. Give me a message if anything sticks out in your mind for this type of error. Thanks again for responding, and I will check out the site.

Try checking whether the TCP/IP is working with the PING command. This will work even though you enter on the Win95 machine using Cancel. Once the Server is up and the Win95 is running, go into a DOS window and type PING followed by the xx.yy.zz.ww address of the server (let me know the number - something may be wrong there). If you get four replies, the connection is working, otherwise, check the error message you get. If this connection does not work, this is where to start looking for the problem. Also let me know the IP number assigned to the Win95 workstation. If I were you, I would use the TCP/IP protocol AND the NETBEUI protocol until everything is sorted out. TCP will not let you directly use the network neighborhood functions.
