I am designing my first client\server system with VFP and SQL server. At present I am using VFP as my backend data source via the VFP ODBC Driver.

I have been receiving the following error messages when making the connection in the client database to the VFP ODBC Server Database connection, when Warning messages is active :

1. Warning: The query timeout cannot be set.
2. Warning: The connection sync\async mode cannot be set.

Then when creating a remote view I get the following message:

1. Connectivity Error:[M][ODBC VFP Driver] Invalid Cursor State.

I have installed the latest ODBC driver, still the problem persists. MSDN is unhelpful.

From a book I have been reading, informed me that the driver is very limited in what stored procedures\commands it recognises, so I created a simple back end VFP source, with two simple tables, yet the problem persits.

HELP PLEASE !! AHHH.
