I'm trying out my accounting app on Win 2000 server accessed by multiple users via Win 98 clients.
Basically the program and database directories are put into a shared folder from the server.
When sharing out the directory from Windows 2000, I noticed there's a caching button which allows the directory to be set to 3 caching options(Manual, automatic Program, automatic Document).
My app is designed whereby the program and database sits under a common root directory that is shared out.
Any suggestion as to what's the best caching options and their implications on the speed of data retrieval and data integrity (Concurrency).
Thanks in advance
