You can set the filter in the command line with the "/filter" switch.

Hi Brian,
Yes, but unfortunately, all that does is to create a situation in which the VFP7 start page opens every time regardless of whether or not you want it to. Remember that I want to create shortcuts to open VFP7's start page directly, or C#'s start page, or VB's depending on what is in the command line. Changing the default simply means that when I click my c# shortcut, I'll get the C# filter with the VFP7 start page. Not ideal.
I've tried blanking out the default altogether, but the msdn won't allow that.
I'd like to change the default on the fly, I guess, but there doesn't seem to be a command line switch to do it. Frustrating.
Thanks anyway for trying though.
Alan
