Hi all:

I'm trying to restore a backup from our production server to another machine (my notebook computer) to have a parallel development situation. I have created an empty database on the target machine by generating a script of the source db and running it on the target machine. After doing this, however, when I attempt to restore, I get the following error:

"The backup set holds a backup of a database oterh than the existing 'ClosingBoard' database. Backup or restore operation terminating abnormally."

Surely there must be a way to accomplish what I am trying to do. I am using SQL7.
