There are ODBC and OLEDB drivers available for Progress, so that you can use RVs/SPT and ADO to access Progress files. there's no direct upsizing wizard for it like there is for SQL Server and Oracle AFAIK. With VFP8 and the CA, the backend issue becomes trivial.

There is a direct upsizing wizard for SQL Server that builds RVs; you can port SPs from the Progress environment by hand to SQL Server by translating them to T-SQL. Again, with the CA, once you figure out how to get the data into the backend, accessing it becomes easy with VFP8.
