Thanks ED, I have arise with some doubts based on your answer:
I have only connect to other backends with odbc Remote views ans sqlPT where can I see more about oledb and ADO access? What is the difference ?

Upsizing is not a concern, since will be for new development, just read current progress tables and connect to other db maybe sqlserver, or keep the data in progress and work with vfp, what do you think about this, AFAIK from VFP tp any backend DB you can only work with RV's and SQLPT ?

Thanks again

By the way what is CA?

>There is a direct upsizing wizard for SQL Server that builds RVs; you can port SPs from the Progress environment by hand to SQL Server by translating them to T-SQL. Again, with the CA, once you figure out how to get the data into the backend, accessing it becomes easy with VFP8.
