>Hi Claudio,

Hi, Nelson!

>As you mentioned, most of us would no understand a thing, but there is a fact that has become pretty anoying to us spanish speakers when ever we get/need to read/listen portuguese content, and it's the fact that we ALMOST understand everything.

You know, that happens for me as well... when I read something in Spanish, I can understand the "big picture" of the thing, but I can't understand everything... anyway, it's much better than trying to read Japanese (which I can't understand nothing at all). :)

In fact, some hours ago I was talking to an American friend who told me that he'll start to learn Spanish, and we just agreed to learn together... I think that's a shame for me: Spanish and Portuguese are somehow so similar, and I just can't write or speak Spanish...

>When we hear someone speaking in portuguese, for a while we think that person is speaking spanish, but all of a sudden he/she pronounces a word that finishes in "eiro". That's when we get to say "Wao, I almost understood it all".

My friend, I must say that, depending on the speaker, I just can't understand Spanish at all... :)

Sometimes I try to watch something in Spanish on the TV, but the guy speak so fast that's amazing how that's difficult for me. But I think it's a matter of learning a little bit and practice.'

I'm always lurking in the Spanish forum here, in order to learn some words and expression, and doing like this, hopefully I'll be able to help the Spanish-speaking community as well. :)

>Keep up the good work !!

Thank you. I'm glad to help. :)
