I usually state a 30 day warrenty. Customers usually want
90 days. The point is that after 'X' number of days it
is no longer under warrenty -- period! And that includes
ANY problems. The point is to get the customer involved
in using the software & getting it done. I have had
customers sit on the software 30 days to 6 months before
they actually start using it. The problem with this is
you are usually in a different project & need to put it on
hold while you go back & re-famialiarize yourself with the
old project (a pain). Which of course can cause delays in
the current project (domino effect).

My point is to make customers also responsible for the
software -- not just you. Make it a two way street.

A good anology is like when you buy a car. If the car sits
in the driveway for a year in a half (and it has a 1 year
warrenty) & you drive it & it breaks, do you think for one
minute the car dealer or manufacturer is going to fix it
for free????
