OIC, but being that file in project or not would not make a difference. Unless external to VFP someone is not using some delete mechanism on that file, only VFP commands to delete a file are 'delete file' and 'erase' AFAIK.
It doesn't disappear after every shutdown of the app, does it ? If it does I suspect an unintentional 'delete file' command (which would succeed if no one else has it open).
