Ahhhh. History is filled with cases of Americans and Britans living in other countries and attending English speaking schools! No wonder the children don't always learn to speak the host nation's language...
Personally, I think it would be fine if English speaking children attended French speaking schools while still in grade school. After that, I think the balance between learning the host nation's language and learning the basic educational requirements becomes blurred. I would think both levels would decline to an unacceptable level from the junior high or middle school level on up. It would probably make more sense to have host-nation language training as a required course instead in the school that does not teach in English. Yet, I was not even aware that you could choose between attending a French speaking school and an English speaking school! Which is the most in demand and why?
