Following are the Client Access modules we reinstalled to satisfy the customers need to access their remote AS400 and still allow our system to function. We do not know which of the other modules was actually causing the problem. Our system was locking up the PC when a home grown DLL called from our VFP application was trying to open a serial port. The DLL is used to communicate with a group of devices on the shop floor that are daisychained on a RS485 network.
