Micheal thanks for replying,but i dont understand you correctly, if i create another field with autonumber that will also act same, i wont be able to create a continious number,could you please explain little clearly. Thanks

I want a function to create continious numbers even if the user reverts in a multiuser environment.

A primary key serves for a primary key, and if visual manipulation of a specific field should be done, I believe you would be better to use another field for such purpose.
