>Interesting concept and I would like to consider this in more detail. How about one senator from each county from each state?
Well, one of my goals here is to stop introducing imaginary lines as a way to classify and analyze the needs of the people. Such borders rarely address issues beyond very superficial terms, and often, they create more complexity, and thus, problems, than they solve.
>Or the number will be county and population so larger counties like Los Angeles (my least favorite) would be better represented.
The House of Representives is based on population so that need is already addressed.
The real problem is that there are too few representives for one of the most diverse populations in the world. I think our Congress is fundamentally accetable. We just need more seats, not more laws.
>In fact there is something about politics in general that is stupid.
:-) There is something about humanity that is stupid. Humanity created politics.
>Jefferson is my favorite United States President. His thought that “the people have the right to overthrow the government if it no longer represents them”, is a concept that I do not take lightly!
I totally agree. I consider myself a peaceful person, but when my freedom is in peril picking up a gun to fight for it will never be ruled out.
